Happy Monday bellas,
I thought I’d share with you some more of the NYX Cosmetics goodies I have in my collection. Some were amazing and some were complete duds. Keep on reading to find out.
NYX Ombre Blush – R220 ($10)
The shade Mauve Me is a muted plum shade which changes dependent of which side you swipe more on. It has a satin finish and builds up colour quite nicely. The shade doesn’t suit my skin tone very well but the concept is awesome. The price is a bit steep though and I still prefer the more affordable NYX blush in Pinched that I reviewed here.
NYX Liquid Suede – R150 ($7)
Whilst this formula is one of my favorites from NYX, the shade completely threw me by surprise. Orange County is definitely for the bold at heart. I also found the neon shade does require a lip liner because you can notice every mistake otherwise.
NYX Lip Lingerie – R150 ($7)
I’m still on the fence about this formula from NYX. It’s drying at times and needs to be layered on to show up but it lasts for hours on end. I was really glad to receive the shade Beauty Mark but when I tried it on it was horrible. It blended into my complexion with ashiness and I looked ghostly. I find all the shades in this range are lighter than they are in the tube which annoys me so much.
NYX Full Throttle Lipstick – R125 ($7)
This one shocked me the most. The shade Firestorm is a bright pink-red which applies so beautifully. The texture is creamy but the formula is waterproof. Well almost. It does feel slightly tacky on the lips and does transfer a bit but the colour lasts for hours. This is one product I feel should be hyped up more because the shade selection is awesome. It also has a cute pop off top which contains a moisturising lip balm/gloss to add some shine.
NYX Wonder Pencil – R99 ($4.50)
Claiming to be a concealer, under eye brightener and reverse lip liner, I’m sad to say only one works for me. I use the Wonder Pencil in Deep to carve out my eyebrows but it is just too ashy for my undereyes. Also the formula does tug a bit so I don’t like having something that harsh and sharp close to my eye. Also I prefer creamier lip liners so this one was another miss for me.
NYX Slide On Eye Pencil – R110 ($8)
And so I’ve saved the best for last. The NYX Slide On, Glide On, Stay On & Definitely a Turn On Waterproof Extreme Shine Eye Liner (yep that’s really the name) is AH-MA-ZING. I got the shade Glitzy Gold which is breathtaking. The formula is creamy, transfer proof and very long wearing. It’s super pigmented and the best eyeliner I’ve ever used. It doesn’t budge, fade or bleed and I’m in love with it.
So that’s all I’ve got to show you for now but if you want to win yourself this goodie bag full of NYX stuff then be sure to enter below.
