More Swiitch Beauty in my arsenal plus a bit of a RANT

Hiya bellas, I’ve had these Swiitch Beauty products in my collection for a while now and thought I’d do a roundup because I still get a lot of questions around them. I’ve also seen some negativity around the brand so I’m going to give you my honest opinion (as always) on why I continue to support them. So let’s address the elephant in the room. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that Swiitch Beauty purchases the products from China and just slaps their logo on the products and puts their markup on them. One of their recent Instagram posts showed that…

The most beautiful Mermaid Brush Set – Beauty by Benazir

A few weeks ago I received the most gorgeous brushes ever. Benazir Akbar, former MAC makeup artist and entrepreneur based in Joburg, sent me her Mermaid Brush Set to try out and review. When she contacted me, I assumed it would be the generic unicorn and diamond brush sets that you see in every social media post. When I opened the package though, I was wowed beyond words. I’d seen the Spectrum Glam Clam priced at $75 and I was like WOAH that’s crazy. Then I saw it being sold on Facebook for R1950 by third party sellers and assumed that was…

MAC Cosmetics Min Liu Collection

Something that has astounded me lately is the MAC releases. We seem to launch them here in South Africa before they launch everywhere else. Isn’t that strange? For instance, the MAC Cosmetics Min Liu Collection is set to launch in the US on April 14th yet it became available on maccosmetics.co.za earlier this week. I’m not complaining because I do also find it awesome. It happened with the MAC Mariah Carey collection I reviewed here as well. Oh and I have a giveaway running where you could win an item from that collection so don’t forget to check it out. Min…

Why YOU need the MorpheMe brush club subscription and how to get free brushes

Because firstly, you can never have enough brushes right? I think I’ve racked up over 100 makeup brushes in the last two years. High end MAC, Sigma and Bobbi Brown. Drugstore Real Techniques, Revlon and Cala. eBay dupes Jessup and Zoeva. Unicorn brushes and no name brands. No one NEEDS that many but I believe the tools help with the trade. Have you seen the no brush makeup challenge on YouTube? Whilst Nikki and Manny can slay using only their fingers, I’d be a hot mess if I ever tried. Thus my pursuit to find brushes that get the job…

Mii Cosmetics has landed in SA

The first time I saw Mii Cosmetics was at the Beauty Expo in August last year. They had a small stand with a few of their products on display and the gorgeous patterns caught my eye. I was able to swatch a few eyeshadows and highlighters and I immediately fell in love with the texture and pigmentation of it. When I enquired about where to buy the products I was told they were still looking at stockists and companies willing to help bring the brand to SA. Then in December I was invited to the Mii Cosmetics launch at the…
