Wishlist Wednesday – Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Makeup Kit

Wow now that’s a long name for a product. Physician’s Formula have ‘shimmer strips’ in a lot of their product names so I guess they’ve had to explain each product in detail to differentiate. For all my South African followers đŸ™‚ I bring to you a product on my wishlist that is actually on sale in most Dischem stores nationwide. To be honest, I was somewhat feeling a bit guilty featuring unattainable products, not only for my readers sake, but because they are not readily available, I miss out on purchasing it too.

I saw this special when I was out purchasing the L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Eyeshadow palettes (for myself and for my giveaway) which you can read about here. It includes the following:

  • The coveted shimmer strip eyeshadow palette in ‘Nude’ contains 9 different shades. “Custom palette can be used wet & dry for two finishes – wet for intense color and dry for a softer result”
  • Two eyeliners in ‘Black’ and ‘Brown’. “High performance, water-resistant and smudge-resistant formula provides glamorous definition and 24 hour wear”
  • Mascara duo in ‘Black’ and ‘Pewter’. “Dual-ended volumizing and lengthening mascara creates ultra-dramatic and glamorous lashes”

Physician’s Formula is another brand that produces fragrance free, paraben free and hypoallergenic cosmetics and all items in this kit are safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. It is a limited edition kit so I’m not sure how long it will be available for, it has only been on display in the last month or so. I really like the packaging of the PF products because they have gold bands and bows or some sort of ribbon or lace which in my opinion is really pretty.

Now how’s that for a great bargain and the perfect items to create a beautiful nude eye look for any occasion. The set currently retails for R329 ($28) for over R500 ($43) worth of products and is just one of the many promotions available in the Dischem Beauty Fair which runs until the 8th of March. You can view the catalogue here.

Have you tried any of the Physician’s Formula products? Which one is your favourite?

Have not yet tried PF but have heard only great things about them. Saw this box in Dischem and wanted it so bad but students are poor lol so decided to rather try and save for a change! The palette is gorgeous though! Great post!

    • Thanks Janneke <3 All the products I have tried are well pigmented and super smooth on the skin. They are on the pricier side of drugstore cosmetics but sometimes well worth it

  • It looks gorgeous !

How would you rate PF with a more expensive brand like stila/mac/smashbox, quality wise? I’ve never tried any of their products, and maybe I’ve been missing out all this time xx

I think PF is a great brand but I find it suited more to people with sensitive skin and that care about ‘organic’ ingredients. I would much rather spend my money on MAC or Smashbox as I find they give way better colour payoff compared to PF for just a bit more cash.

That’s exactly why I’ve never tried their products. For a few bucks more I can buy Mac, etc. Thanks for your thoughts xx
