The Catrice Metallure collection is truly breathtaking with its marble and metallic finish. It’s initial release was set around September-October last year but it only made its way to my nearest store around December and it’s been there ever since, even though, as I mentioned in my previous post here, the Le Grand Bleu collection has been launched. Anyhoo, I’m a sucker for anything gold so when I got a chance I picked up a few items.
Catrice Metallure Metallic Marbled Eyeshadow
I love shimmery eyeshadow and this one caught my eye with its beautiful marble of gold and white, housed in a sturdy, clear plastic casing. The shade ‘Metalight’ is very pigmented and transfers an opaque, pearl shimmer to the lid or inner corner of the eye. I’ve found it to be a bit too much shimmer for the brow bone but hey, whatever floats your boat. The formula is smooth and easily blendable and lasts a good few hours without eyeshadow primer. The only thing lacking for me was a bit more gold but I can deal with that. Price R50 ($4)
Catrice Metallure Lip Colour
I picked up only two of the three shades as I felt the shade, ‘Metalight’ (yep same name as the shadow), was too nude for my liking. I picked up ‘Alluring Red’ and ‘Alluring Pink’ and they are packaged in a gorgeous rose gold tube with white cracking effect. They are super vibrant and are only suitable for those who dare wear such bold colours. The formula of both lipsticks is opaque, creamy and feel amazing on the lips. It has a semi-matte finish so whilst it doesn’t last for hours, it does leave behind a stain that looks just as pretty. Price R70 ($6)
Here are the other items in the collection I missed out on.
Earlier this week I saw them unpacking a new Catrice collection at the Dischem store in Cresta. The Catrice Check and Tweed has absolutely gorgeous packaging but nothing appealed to me enough to purchase anything. Head on over to your nearest Dischem to see which Catrice collection is in store for you.
LOTS OF LOVE
