“Lips in velvet hues, nails that shimmer with festive light, a gaze swept with intense smoky shadow: Peter Philips, the Dior Makeup Creation and Image Director, celebrates brilliantly glamorous beauty for the holidays! This season’s signature: the limited editions of the Splendor collection pay tribute to the House of Dior’s couture spirit. A creation inspired by the sparkle of sequins and the legendary craftsmanship of the Dior fashion workshops.”
I was at the Dior counter over the weekend and while browsing the lady informed me that the Dior Splendor Holiday 2016 Collection was about to hit the shelves. She showed us sneak peaks of the items in the drawers as they were not set out yet. Still awaiting display stands or what not. Regardless, when I saw the items I was enchanted. This year Dior opted for the sequinned embossing and boy is it splendid. I know anything in this collection will cost an arm and a leg, possibly a third and fourth limb as well. As much as I’d love to own everything, the item that caught my eye is the Illuminating Powder which they are yet to receive stock of. I know it will be just over R1 000 like the Glowing Gardens powder previously launched (I hope). For now though, the Dior Splendor Holiday 2016 Collection is a feast for my eyes before it turns into a thorn in my pocket.
I mean how totally gorgeous is it. Here’s a view of the rest of the collection as well.
The sequins and gold packaging of the Dior Splendor Holiday 2016 Collection radiates a luxurious aura synonymous with the brand. I mean who wouldn’t want some (if not all) of these beauties sitting on their vanity.
